MOU signing ceremony between Department of Veterinary Parasitology – Faculty of Veterinary Medicine – VNUA and College of Veterinary Medicine – Seul National University

Laboratory of Veterinary Internal Medicine, College of Veterinary Medicine, Seul National University, Repulic of Korea and Department of Parasitology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Vietnam National University of Agriculture, Vietnam signed a cooperation agreement in a formally-organized ceremony on December 16, 2022,marking a milestone in their working partnership. This is an agreement for academic and scientific cooperation to conduct scientific and academic exchange and collaboration. Both laboratories shall cooperate as follows:

1. Exchange of scientific and instructional information;
2. Exchange of faculty for research, teaching and other collaborative activities;
3. Exchange of faculty to participate in conferences, symposium, workshops and seminars;
4. Establishment of joint research projects on subjects of mutual interest including ticks and tick-borne diseases: especially, collecting and providing samples such as ticks or blood from host animals and local environment of each country.

Professor. Joon-Seok Chae, Representative of Laboratory of Veterinary Internal Medicine, College of Veterinary Medicine, SNU and Dr. Bui Khanh Linh, Head of Dept. Veterinary Parasitology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, VNUA signed the Cooperative Agreement.  

In the following days, representatives of both laboratories visited Cuc Phuong National Park and Ba Vi Cattle and Forage research center for tick sample collection as the beginning part of a joint research project. This cooperation is a good opportunities for lecturers, researchers and students of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine to realize scientific and academic activities.
