On the morning of November 19, 2021, the “Food Hygiene and Safety” research group from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Vietnam National University of Agriculture successfully conducted a webinar on MS Team.
The seminar began with a presentation by Dr. Hoang Minh Duc on the topic “Isolation of Clostridium Perfringens” followed by Dr. Hoang Minh Son’s presentation on “Antiseptic use in animal husbandry.” Each presentation was followed by a discussion session where members of the research group actively engaged with the presented topics.
Regarding “Isolation of Clostridium Perfringens” the discussions focused on various methods for isolation and detection of the toxic genes of Clostridium perfringens. A comparison of the costs associated with using the isolation medium method and the PCR method was also discussed. It was noted that using the Clostridium perfringens bacteria isolation medium is more expensive than the PCR method. However, the PCR method does not distinguish between live and dead bacteria, and further isolation of different types of bacteria is necessary for conducting in-depth studies. The discussions also touched upon the correct and effective use of disinfectants, with an emphasis on commonly used types in Vietnam.
The information shared during the webinar lays the groundwork for future in-depth studies by the research group members in the field of food hygiene and safety. Here are some pictures from the seminar:
Your point of view caught my eye and was very interesting. Thanks. I have a question for you.
