Lở mồm long móng (LMLM) là một bệnh truyền nhiễm gây nhiều thiệt hại kinh tế cho người nuôi trâu, bò. Bệnh do virut LMLM gây ra và lây qua đường hô hấp, đường tiêu hóa.Khi trâu, bò mắc bệnh cần báo ngay cho cơ quan thú y để được hướng dẫn cách xử lý.
- Triệu chứng:
Trâu, bò ủ bệnh từ 2 – 7 ngày, sốt cao, ăn ít, uống nhiều nước, nước dãi chảy như bọt xà phòng. Sau khi con vật sốt 2 – 3 ngày, bắt đầu xuất hiện các mụn nước ở lưỡi, hàm trên, miệng, mũi. Mụn ở chân móng và kẽ móng vỡ, loét, bị nhiễm trùng và bong móng chân, làm cho trâu, bò đi lại khó khăn.
- Điều trị:
Bệnh LMLM hiện không có thuốc điều trị đặc hiệu. Có thể dùng các dung dịch thuốc sát trùng như: xanh Methylen 5%o, Lodin 1%o, các dịch lá chát (lá ổi, lá sim) bôi vào các ổ lở loét ở miệng và chân móng. Sau 10 – 12 ngày, trâu, bò có thể khỏi bệnh về lâm sàng.
Khi trâu, bò bị bệnh lở mồm long móng, có thể dùng các loại thuốc sát trùng nhẹ để rửa vết thương, trị bệnh
- Phòng bệnh:
– Thực hiện tốt vệ sinh thú y, giữ chuồng khô, sạch và ấm áp. Thực hiện định kỳ tiêu độc khử trùng, ủ phân sinh học. – Tăng cường chăm sóc, nuôi dưỡng trâu, bò, đặc biệt trong mùa mưa, rét. Bổ sung thức ăn tinh và thức ăn thô xanh. Thực hiện định kỳ tiêu độc khử trùng chuồng trại nuôi trâu, bò.
– Tiêm vắc xin LMLM 6 tháng/lần. – Thực hiện kiểm dịch nghiêm ngặt khi phải vận chuyển trâu, bò.
