Dấu hiệu của cúm chó
Bệnh cúm chó có thể xảy ra bất cứ lúc nào trong năm. Nhiễm virus cúm chó thường giống với viêm khí quản truyền nhiễm ở chó, gây ra bởi một hoặc nhiều bệnh nhiễm trùng do vi khuẩn hoặc virus, bao gồm Bordetella bronchiseptica và parainfluenza virus.

Trong đó, dấu hiệu lâm sàng phổ biến nhất của cúm chó là ho kéo dài trong khoảng 10 đến 21 ngày và điều trị bằng kháng sinh và thuốc giảm ho không hiệu quả. Chảy máu ở mũi hoặc mắt, cũng là dấu hiệu thường thấy khi mắc cúm chó. Nhiều con chó bị chảy nước mũi và sốt (~40℃).
Hầu hết các con chó nhiễm bệnh có thể phục hồi trong vòng 2 đến 3 tuần. Tuy nhiên, ở mức độ nặng, chó thường bị chết. Tỷ lệ chết từ 1 – 5%, hoặc cũng có thể lên đến 8%. Sự bội nhiễm vi khuẩn là nguyên nhân chính dẫn đến tử vong.
Phương pháp điều trị bệnh cúm chó
Nếu nghi ngờ thú cưng mắc cúm chó, bạn nên ngay lập tức đưa chúng gặp bác sĩ thú y. Các bác sĩ sẽ làm các xét nghiệm để biết rõ tình hình con chó nhà bạn đang gặp phải và đưa ra hướng giải quyết phù hợp.
Bệnh cúm chó được điều trị bằng những phương pháp sau:
– Tăng cường sức đề kháng và sử dụng thuốc kháng sinh. Đây là bước quan trọng trong điều trị bệnh cúm chó vì con vật này rất dễ mắc vi khuẩn bội nhiễm.
– Điều trị các triệu chứng: giảm ho sử dụng thuốc cảm cúm cho chó như: Bromhexin, prednisone…
