Bệnh tụt canxi ở chó mẹ nuôi con

Bệnh sốt sữa hay còn gọi là tụt canxi, sốt giật canxi… thường gặp ở những chú chó mẹ trước khi đẻ, trong và sau khi đẻ thậm chí ngay tới khi cai sữa cho con. Sốt sữa ở chó mẹ là một tình trạng nguy hiểm có thể đe dọa đến tính mạng của chó mẹ do nồng độ canxi trong máu của chó bị hạ thấp.Bệnh tụt canxi thường gặp ở những chó mẹ có sữa tốt, quấn con, khéo chăm con, nuôi nhiều con. Hoặc đàn con đã lớn rồi (trên 2 tháng tuổi) vẫn để bú mẹ. Nếu không cứu chữa kịp thời thì có tới 60% số chó mẹ sẽ chết sau 12-48 giờ co giật.Vậy thì nguyên nhân nào dẫn đến sốt sữa ở chó mẹ và hướng giải quyết như nào?

  1. Nguyên nhân dẫn đến sốt sữa ở chó mẹ

Có thể các bạn không biết nồng độ canxi trong máu của chó cần được duy trì ở mức 8,4 – 11,2 mg/ml máu là ở mức chuẩn. Nhưng khi chó mẹ mới sinh trong quá trình cho con bú do số lượng sữa phải tiết ra quá mức dẫn tới cơ thể phải tăng tốc làm việc để sản xuất ra lượng sữa cung cấp cho chó con. Khi đó lượng canxi trong cơ thể chó mẹ lại không đủ để cung cấp sản sinh ra sữa dẫn tới cơ thể chó tự động lấy đi lượng canxi trong máu, trong xương để sản sinh ra sữa cho chó con.

Việc chó con bú rút lượng sữa quá lớn tại một thời điểm làm cho nồng độ can-xi huyết của chó mẹ tụt dưới 8,0 mg/ml gây ra mất cân bằng can-xi, rối loạn hoạt động thần kinh trung ương, trung khu điều hòa thân nhiệt và hệ hô hấp, tuần hoàn và vận động.

  1. Biểu hiện sốt sữa ở chó mẹ

Chó mẹ đột ngột bỏ ăn, toàn thân co giật, run rẩy, cơ thể cứng đơ.Chó mẹ bị sốt trên 40 độ C nhưng khi bạn sờ vào vùng bụng thì lại thấy không quá nóng.Có các biểu hiện như: Bồn chồn, hồi hộp, thở hổn hển, mất phương hướng

Phân biệt với các triệu chứng thần kinh co giật của các bệnh khác sau:

  • Bệnh Carre: phải có thời gian ủ bệnh, bệnh diễn biến chậm, không sốt cao, có lây lan sang chó khác ở mọi lứa tuổi.
  • Bệnh uốn ván: phải có vết thương, người cứng như gỗ, hàm cứng.
  • Bệnh Dại: Sợ ánh sáng, phải có vết cắn của động vật mắc Dại, chạy nhảy lung tung, người mềm, không khó thở, tấn công người và súc vật khác…

Trong giai đoạn có chửa và nuôi con nên cho ăn đủ chất dinh dưỡng, đủ chất khoáng và vitamin, nhất là Ca và P.

Hàng ngày nên bổ sung vào thức ăn bột xương nghiền, bổ xung thêm ốc,cua, tôm, hến, sụn, xương trong khẩu phần.

Cho chó mèo chửa ra hoạt động ngoài trời để tăng thêm lượng vitamin D2, D3.

  1. Hướng xử lý:

Nếu bạn thấy chú chó của mình có dấu hiệu bị bệnh sốt giật canxi thì ngay lập tức bạn nên tách cho mẹ ra và không cho chó con bú sữa trong 24 giờ nữa.
