Làm thế nào để có thể phối giống heo đạt chuẩn, tăng khả năng thụ thai và đậu con nhiều? Đây là một trong những vấn đề mà nhiều người chăn nuôi luôn băn khoăn. Ở tất cả các giống heo, người ta thường không cho phối giống ngay từ lần động dục đầu tiên. Bởi lúc này, cơ thể heo chưa hoàn toàn phát triển đầy đủ, số trứng rụng cũng không nhiều. Nếu phối giống thì số lượng con sẽ ít và có nguy cơ nhiễm bệnh, sinh non cao. Chính vì thế, người chăn nuôi cần quan sát, theo dõi để phát hiện chu kỳ động dục của heo và tiến hành phối giống chính xác.

  • Phát hiện chu kỳ động dục ở heo

Đối với heo cái hậu bị, tức là heo chưa từng đẻ lứa nào thì người chăn nuôi cần quan sát toàn bộ quá trình trưởng thành, ghi chép tỉ mỉ để phát hiện được chu kỳ động dục đầu tiên.

Thông thường, heo cái sẽ động dục lần đầu vào khoảng 4 đến 5 tháng tuổi, trọng lượng đạt khoảng 30 đến 40kg. Một số giống heo ngoại lai sẽ động dục muộn hơn, có thể 6 – 8 tháng tuổi, khối lượng đạt từ 100 đến 110kg.

Chu kỳ động dục của heo trung bình khoảng 21 ngày, dao động từ 17 đến 23 ngày. Mỗi lần động dục sẽ kéo dài từ 3 đến 4 ngày. Heo nái đã sinh con và cai sữa sau 4 đến 6 ngày sẽ động dục trở lại.

Người chăn nuôi cần theo dõi, ghi chép lại cẩn thận các mốc thời gian này để áp dụng kỹ thuật phối giống heo chuẩn xác.

  • Kỹ thuật phát hiện heo nái động dục

Phát hiện heo nái động dục là một bước cực kỳ quan trọng, quyết định lớn đến khả năng thụ thai và số lượng con sinh ra. Khi heo đã đạt đến thời gian động dục (trừ lần động dục đầu tiên), người chăn nuôi cần kiểm tra heo nái mỗi ngày ít nhất 2 lần và cách nhau 12 giờ.

Nên kiểm tra vào lúc 5 – 6 giờ sáng và 5 – 6 giờ chiều, vì đây là thời điểm heo thường có biểu hiện động dục rõ ràng nhất.

Thời gian động dục sẽ kéo dài từ 3 đến 4 ngày, người chăn nuôi cần quan sát kỹ để nhận biết đâu là thời gian phối giống chính xác nhất.

  • Biểu hiện động dục ở heo nái

Thông thường, vào ngày động dục thứ nhất, heo nái sẽ đi lại, kêu rít, muốn nhảy ra khỏi chuồng. Đồng thời, heo cũng kén ăn hoặc bỏ máng, nếu có người sờ mó thì né tránh, bỏ chạy. Quan sát thấy âm hộ heo sưng mọng, đỏ hồng, căng bóng và có nước nhờn lỏng, trong chảy ra ngoài.

Vào ngày thứ hai, buổi sáng heo sẽ ở trạng thái yên tĩnh hơn, ít kêu rít, thỉnh thoảng nhảy lên lưng con khác. Tuy nhiên chưa chịu đứng yên khi có heo khác nhảy lên lưng.

Đến chiều, âm hộ đã bớt sưng, chuyển sang hồng nhạt, có vết nhăn mờ, đồng thời nước nhờn đã chuyển sang dạng keo dính.

Lúc này, kiểm tra xem heo đã bắt đầu chịu đực (mê ì) chưa bằng cách xoa vuốt từ hàng vú cuối cùng lên lưng heo, sau đó ấn lên lưng. Khi thấy heo đứng ì, hai tai vểnh lên, tư thế sẵn sàng mê ì thì người chăn nuôi hãy tiến hành phối giống với heo đực hoặc dẫn tinh để đạt kết quả tốt nhất.

Đến ngày thứ ba thì trạng thái mê ì đã giảm dần, càng về cuối ngày thì càng không thích gần heo đực nữa. Âm hộ bắt đầu teo dần, trở về bình thường, nước nhờn chảy ra ít, màu trắng đục, không dính và đuôi che úp âm hộ.

Điều kiện tiên quyết để phối giống heo lần đầu đó là đã đủ tháng tuổi và cân nặng cần thiết. Như đã đề cập, thời điểm phối giống cho heo thích hợp nhất đó là khoảng 7 – 7,5 tháng tuổi đối với giống nội, giống ngoại thường là 7,5 – 8 tháng tuổi. Khối lượng khoảng 50 đến 110kg tùy vào từng giống heo.

Tuyệt đối không bao giờ cho phối giống heo ngay từ lần động dục đầu tiên. Bởi lúc này, cơ thể heo chưa hoàn toàn phát triển, số trứng rụng không nhiều sẽ cho ra số lượng con ít. Tốt nhất là nên cho phối giống khi heo đã trải qua 2 đến 3 chu kỳ động dục.

Cần xác định được thời điểm mê ì để phối giống ngay và thực hiện lại lần 2 sau 12 giờ.Ghi chép lại ngày phối giống để xác định được thời gian heo đẻ.

Heo nái rạ là heo nái đã đẻ từ 2 lứa trở đi, sau khi sinh và cai sữa khoảng 4 đến 6 ngày là có thể động dục trở lại. Khi phát hiện trạng thái mê ì thì không nên phối giống ngay mà phải chờ 10 đến 12 tiếng để phối lần 1. Tiếp tục lặp lại phối lần 2 sau 12 tiếng để heo nái đẻ sai con.Ghi chép lại ngày phối giống để xác định được thời điểm heo đẻ.

Thụ tinh nhân tạo trên heo nái là hình thức phối giống không có sự tiếp xúc giữa 2 cá thể đực, cái. Hiện nay, có 3 kỹ thuật phối giống heo nhân tạo được áp dụng đó là:

  • Kỹ thuật phối giống heo đơn: Dùng tinh trùng của một con đực bơm vào thời điểm rụng trứng của heo nái và chỉ bơm 1 lần duy nhất.Cách làm này cần phải canh chính xác thời điểm rụng trứng nhiều, nếu không sẽ khó thụ thai hoặc đẻ ít con.
  • Kỹ thuật phối lặp; Dùng tinh trùng của một con đực bơm vào con cái nhiều lần.Mỗi lần cách nhau 12 – 24 giờ sẽ cho ra kết quả cao hơn so với cách phối đơn.
  • Kỹ thuật phối giống heo kép: Dùng tinh trùng của 2 – 3 con đực cùng giống hoặc khác giống hòa trộn trong 1 lần bơm.Ngoài ra, cũng có thể bơm từng loại cách nhau 5 – 10 phút.

Đây là một kỹ thuật phối giống ít tốn kém chi phí và khá an toàn khi đưa nguồn gen mới, quý hiếm vào thử nghiệm.

Tinh dịch của các con heo đực giống có năng suất sao, chất lượng thịt tốt được lưu trữ và bảo quản ở ngân hàng tinh dịch. Giúp người chăn nuôi có thể tiếp cận được các nguồn gen có nhiều ưu điểm, nhằm đem lại năng suất cao.

Thụ tinh nhân tạo cho phép heo tăng năng suất sinh sản lên gấp nhiều lần, thuận tiện hơn trong việc kiểm soát, cải tiến, di truyền giống. Từ đó, tạo ra các lứa heo sau này đảm bảo tính đồng đều về chất lượng và thể trạng.

  • Nhược điểm của kỹ thuật phối giống heo

Mặc dù mang nhiều ưu điểm, thế nhưng kỹ thuật phối giống nhân tạo này cần người có tay nghề, chuyên môn cao để thực hiện. Dung dịch, môi trường bảo quản tinh dịch có giá thành khá cao. Ngoài ra, cũng cần phải xác định thời điểm phối giống cho heo chính xác để đạt năng suất cao.

  • Một số lưu ý khi phối giống heo

Trước khi tiến hành quy trình phối giống heo, người chăn nuôi cần xác định phương pháp mình sẽ áp dụng là gì. Hiện nay có 2 cách phối giống heo phổ biến đó là phối giống trực tiếp và thụ tinh nhân tạo. Mỗi cách phối đều có những ưu và nhược điểm riêng, tùy vào điều kiện tài chính mà người chăn nuôi quyết định nên chọn phương pháp nào.

Nên chọn giống heo đực cao sản như Duroc, Pietrain, Landrace sẽ cho ra lứa heo con thương phẩm, thịt có tỷ lệ nạc cao 52 – 55%.

Đối với heo phối giống nhiều lần không đậu, người chăn nuôi cần đảm bảo sức khỏe, tinh thần cho cả con đực và cái, cải thiện chất lượng chuồng trại. Ngoài ra cũng nên tìm hiểu thêm các nguyên nhân khiến heo phối giống nhiều lần không đậu để có cách khắc phục kịp thời.

Nên tiêm phòng cho heo định kỳ các loại vắc xin như dịch tả, tụ huyết trùng, phó thương hàn, sảy thai truyền nhiễm. Tiêm phòng cho heo nái trước khi phối giống từ 10 đến 15 ngày hoặc sau khi cai sữa. Tuyệt đối không tiêm vào tháng thứ nhất và thứ tư vì có thể làm chết thai, sảy con.

Nên theo dõi lịch tiêm các vắc xin phòng bệnh khác như tai xanh, lở mồm long móng của cơ quan thú y địa phương. Nên tiến hành tiêm các loại vắc xin cho heo định kỳ để tránh nguy cơ gây bệnh về sau
