Associate Professor Dr. Bui Tran Anh Dao holds an esteemed position as a senior lecturer and serves as the dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the prestigious Vietnam National University of Agriculture. His impressive research interests span various critical areas, including veterinary pathology, infectious diseases in animals, pathology in laboratory animals, and zoonoses.
His academic journey began with obtaining a veterinary degree from the Vietnam National University of Agriculture. Subsequently, he pursued further education, earning a master’s degree in veterinary medicine from Nong Lam University in Ho Chi Minh City. Dr. Dao’s pursuit of knowledge continued as he successfully completed his Ph.D. in veterinary medicine at the renowned Liège University in Belgium.
In 2019, Dr. Bui Tran Anh Dao became actively involved in the activities of One Health Network Vietnam Universities (VOHUN). His dedication and contributions have led to his current position as the esteemed president of VOHUN. Additionally, he is a valued member of the executive board for the One Health Network of Southeast Asian Universities (SEAOHUN).
Dr. Dao’s expertise and leadership play a significant role in advancing the principles of One Health, fostering collaboration among universities and institutions in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. His contributions continue to positively impact the fields of veterinary medicine and public health, promoting holistic approaches to address the complex challenges of zoonotic diseases and broader health concerns.
